Funny (is that the right word?) to see that this high tech jail is openning right were one of the first and best hacker meeting happened, something like 13 years ago (!).

Right here, in Lelystad, the "Hacking at the End of the Universe" took place in 1993, foreseeing the developpements of network, security measures and ways to defeat them for mass liberation of people against oppressive technologies.

Well... what a strange coincidence.

What I could only say is that this seems to be one more direction toward a self regulated, autonomous prison system.

Will it downscale the costs of running these prison-factories that "use" 3 million american inmates (mostly black people)?

Will that enhance the profit of these companies dedicated to running prison-plants?

Will that offer a solution the state of french prisons which are deteriorating so fast, and yet, no political decision for a problem know for at least 10 years and witnessed by congress investigation here in France?

Or will it be a solution for private companies taking over this "ill-managed" french prison system, justifying clearly that privately-owned prison, liberal approach be the solution when the power in place has good interest in said private sector?

Well well well.... for sure, one damn interesting sector of the society if you consider that this is considered one of the emerging "market".

Shame on us, the Stick is getting more prevalent than Education.
